General Ledger Associate [Philippines]

What you'll focus on
Accounting Schedules and Documentation:
  • Create accounting schedules for various countries where the company operates.
  • Prepare supporting documents to resolve identified issues.
  • Ensure each manual journal entry is supported by appropriate documentation.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare trial balances for the General Ledger (GL) consolidation.
  • Review and clean up pending balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Audit Support:
  • Provide support during external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
What you bring
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Xero, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities to improve processes.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the GL (Consolidation) team and other finance departments.
