Accounting Assistant [Philippines]

What you'll focus on
  • Process financial transactions into our accounting system accurately and efficiently, with a focus on recording supplier invoices.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for all financial documents, including receiving, monitoring, and filing physical invoices and receipts from suppliers.
  • Reconcile payments against supplier statements, ensuring all invoices are accounted for.
  • Prepare and send payment advice and withholding tax forms to suppliers.
  • Manage weekly payment processing.
  • Monitor accounts payable ageing reports to identify outstanding invoices.
  • Conduct weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance department as needed.
  • Update and maintain client and supplier information for tax compliance purposes.
  • Assist with audit preparations.
  • Assist with extracting and monitoring government filing reports to ensure tax compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for general ledger accounts, including advances to suppliers, prepayments, and advances from parent companies, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
  • Verify that all accrual accounts are recorded accurately.
  • Process any necessary adjusting entries.
What you bring
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with Xero, Joiin, Microsoft Office, and GSheets is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
