Revenue and Cost Controller Manager [Philippines]

What you'll focus on
  • Manage the entire financial P&L and balance sheet for assigned countries, including accrued revenue and cost of sales.
  • Oversee monthly billing of clients and resolve disputes in collaboration with the Customer Service team.
  • Manage reverse billing to vendors and address vendor inquiries promptly.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Customer Service and Operations) to ensure efficient dispute resolution.
  • Drive process improvement and data quality within your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue and cost reports, and present findings to senior management.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and ensure accurate accrual adjustments.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger through journal entries, closing tasks, and report preparation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Escalate and manage downline issues as needed.
What you bring
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within a startup environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in financial data analysis, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles for accurate cost allocation, expense tracking, and profitability analysis.
  • Proven ability to conduct variance analysis, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes.
  • Excellent analytical and conflict resolution skills to address critical issues effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Quickbooks, Xero, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Capacity to identify financial challenges, analyze root causes, and develop solutions for improved revenue generation and cost management.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines, especially during financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting periods.
  • Clear and concise communication (written and verbal) for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and market conditions.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to regulatory compliance and company policies.
  • Strategic mindset to understand the broader business context, anticipate future financial challenges and opportunities, and contribute to long-term planning.
  • Strong understanding of internal stakeholder needs and the ability to provide responsive and high-quality financial support and analysis.
