Vendor Associate

What you'll focus on

The Vendor Associate will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with partners / vendors to drive business growth and operational execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities within existing partnerships and ensuring partners are complying towards agreed SLA and/or contracts. This role will work in a cross-functional environment, partnering closely with not only the Supply team and our Fulfillment and Last Mile partners, but also different teams across the company to achieve our shared goals.

  • Manage and own relationships with existing partners and explore new partnership opportunities.

  • Work with our partners and vendors in LOCAD operating markets to execute flawlessly on providing best-in-class fulfillment and shipping services to our customers.

  • Be the subject matter expert relating to our partner supply capabilities for the commercial team.

  • Perform business reviews weekly/monthly/quarterly with our partners as part of tracking and reporting on key metrics and success factors for partnerships.

  • Ensure partners operate with a high level of integrity and complying to SLAs and agreed SOPs and/or contracts. 

  • Work with partners to plan sufficient resources and capacity necessary to support LOCAD’s rapid growth.

  • Work with Supply Network Development team in sourcing, vetting, and onboarding new fulfillment and shipping partners when needed.

  • Work with Ops Control Tower and Customer Service in troubleshooting issues and escalations on orders operated by assigned LOCAD Partners.

  • Identify potential risks of the partnerships and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, CS, finance, legal, sales, and tech to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership plans.

What you bring
  • BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply chain or similar. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Solid negotiation and influencing without authority skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and enjoy working in a data driven way. 

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and fluid environment, with a hands-on approach.

  • Passion to learn, build and get outside your comfort zone. 

  • Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally.
